FAQ

                                                   Frequently Asked Questions
                                                 (FAQ)

Q. "Why should I hire a home sitter?"

A. There are a number of reasons that include home security, damage control, convenience, pet and plant care, yard maintenance and snow removal (often required by law). Some homeowner insurance policies actually require a home check every 72 hours while you are away, to validate the policy. For more information on the benefits of hiring a home sitter, click here.
Q. "If I call you for services, what happens next?"
A. Your call may be directed to an answering service, but all messages are returned within a day.  Generally, a phone conversation will give you an opportunity to learn more about our services and pricing. We will also arrange an at-home visit at your convenience to discuss the services you require. We will walk you though our services and prepare an estimate on the spot at no charge. Normally, we are able to commence services that day.
Q. "What do you charge for your services?"
A. Every home and every situation varies so this is a bit hard to answer without an in home estimate.  There is a basic package that may be added-to for services to your pets, plants, lawn and special services.  Prices are very competitive and start at $25 a week.
Q. "Do you every stay at the home overnight?"
A. No, we don't stay overnight as we are local and able to visit the home regularly. If you have a pet such as a cat, we can arrange to visit the home more than once per day.
Q. "You mention you look after pets, but not dogs?"
A. Many small pets simply require food, water and a bit of TLC. It is our opinion that dogs require more than that. They look forward to walks and the outdoors in general (especially if house-trained) and as such, and as dog lovers, we feel strongly that a reputable, professional kennel can offer better services to dogs and some other household pets.
